Publication Guidelines

The publication guidelines in Al-Huda Journal for Applied Sciences are as follows:

1. Scientific Evaluation of Paper

  • Paper submitted to this journal are published only after being scientifically evaluated by qualified experts recognized for their academic competence in their respective fields of specialization.
  • The Paper is submit to both standard and advanced plagiarism check through using  TURNITIN program.
  • Each Paper submitted for publication is reviewed by two expert referees, selected by the editorial board based on their academic qualifications.
  • The journal does not accept Paper that do not adhere to established scientific paper methodologies.
  • Authors are required to address and incorporate the reviewers’ comments and recommendations resulting from the evaluation process.

2. Paper Publication

  • The journal only publishes original paper that has not been previously published, and has not been submitted for publication at the same time, in any other scientific journal or scientific conference. Author must complete the Declaration of Originality, available [here].
  • The Author is required to fill out the declaration form provided at the designated link, sign it, and return it to the journal.
  • The Author will be notified of the journal’s decision regarding the acceptance of the Paper within thirty days from the date of submission.
  • If the paper is accepted for publication, the Author will receive an official acceptance letter via the journal’s email. The journal is committed to publishing the paper in the earliest upcoming issue prepared for release, provided that all publication requirements mentioned above have been met.
  • The journal reserves the right to publish the accepted paper according to the editorial board’s scheduling plan, taking into account technical priorities and the date of submission.
  • All paper articles published in the journal become the intellectual property of the journal. No party may republish it, or translate and publish it in any book and newspaper, without obtaining written permission from the Editor-in-Chief.

3. Publication Fees

  • A fee of fifty thousand Iraqi dinars (50,000 IQD) shall be charged for each locally authored paper. Foreign papers are published free of charge, provided that the total number of pages does not exceed twenty-five (25). For each additional page beyond the specified limit, an extra fee of two thousand five hundred Iraqi dinars (2,500 IQD) shall be levied. An official receipt will be issued for all payments received.
  • The journal regrets that manuscripts, whether published or not, will not be returned to the authors.

4. Author's Rights and Duties

  • The journal is committed to preserving the intellectual property rights of the Authors.
  • The content of each paper solely reflects the views of the author and does not necessarily represent the views of the journal.
  • The author bears full legal and ethical responsibility in cases of plagiarism, including unauthorized citation, copying from internet sources without proper attribution or quotation marks, or failure to provide accurate and complete references in footnotes.

5. Formal Requirements for Manuscripts

  • Title of the Paper:
    The paper title should be placed on the first page in Simplified Arabic, font size 18. The author’s full name, academic title, and institution should be included. In the case of multiple authors, their names and corresponding addresses should be listed to facilitate communication, following the paper template provided below. The title, author(s) names, and keywords must be written in both Arabic and English.
  • Author’s Name(s): Simplified Arabic, size 12.
  • Author’s Affiliation(s): Simplified Arabic, size 12.
  • Abstract: An abstract in Arabic and one in English must be provided.

6. Manuscript Formatting

  • The manuscript should be typed in Simplified Arabic, single-sided, on A4-sized paper, with appropriate margins.
  • Structure: Introduction, body (organized into chapters, sections, and subsections), conclusion, and references.
  • Margins: 2 cm on all sides.
  • Leave five single-spaced lines as a top margin on the first page only.
  • Main text: Simplified Arabic, size 14.
  • Main headings: Size 16, bold, aligned with the right margin.
  • Subheadings: Size 16, placed directly under the main headings.
  • Line spacing: Single.
  • Footnotes: Size 12, sequential, placed at the bottom of each page.
  • Use Arabic numerals (1234567890).
  • Leave one blank line before each main or subheading.
  • Figures: Caption placed directly under the figure in bold, size 14; leave one blank line before the figure.
  • Tables: Caption placed directly above the table in bold, size 14; leave one blank line before the caption.
  • References: Written in bold, following the format: Author’s name, title of the book or paper, vol. 1, ed. 1, publisher, place of publication, year of publication. References should be listed at the end of the manuscript in accordance with the IEEE Style of documentation.
  • The manuscript must begin with an abstract not exceeding 300 words, written in Arabic (font size 12). The abstract should concisely and clearly summarize the paper content and findings.
  • The title, author(s) names, and abstract in English (matching the Arabic abstract) should follow directly after the Arabic abstract, written in font size 12.
